Quality Ingredients Corporation announces expansion in Minnesota food ingredient processing facility

Quality Ingredients Corporation is pleased to announce the planned expansion of spray dry capabilities in its Burnsville, Minnesota location through the acquisition of both equipment and expertise. Augmenting the company’s existing capabilities in custom formulation, spray drying, spray chilling and dry blending will be additional tall-form spray dryers that are ideally suited to serve markets with highly-specialized toll manufacturing needs, including flavors, functional ingredients and dietary supplements.

Key to the expansion is the addition of Bob Freemore, General Programs Director to the Quality Ingredients management team. With 35 years’ experience in the food and nutritional industries, Freemore’s expertise will guide both the capital expansion as well as strategic growth in new markets.

Day noted that the new dryers will also be ideal to manufacture the company’s growing line of specialty cheese powders. She expects the additional dryers and related capabilities to be online by Q4, 2012.
